I only heard about Treecat''s dear departure from this life, and although I did not know her very long, she and others around her helped me immeasurably. She always went to the trouble of making people feel at home, and providing a listening ear, and I know she will continue doing so in the heavens.

Well it looks like I am not alone in trying to put off doing this. Amazing said to just put what we always put when we saw treecat and Amazing is a smart lady so: Tiny woofs, Phantom meows and the fish gurgle at treecat.
You helped make Starlink-IRC feel like a home treecat and you will be much missed.

Treecat, well its taken me a long time to do this and I know you understand why. I remember when I came to the net you were one of the first ppl I talked to and #Crittercat was the first channel I went to. I'll never forget the chats and fun we had over the years.

Dear Tree;
I have put this off as long as i can and now must try to get it done. We have talked of this many times and it never once entered my mind that you would leave first. Until a few months ago when my health slowed me down considerable we were online togethar every night until 3 am my time and almost every night was a learning experience for me, you weere my mentor with all wise teachings which you never complained when i would do the "duh" things only say now you know what not to do, the most amazing thing is i never crashed the whole net, but most of all you were my friend both online and in real life. I will miss you terribly and i will not say goodbye but will end this the same way we ended each night online..

Well treecat, what can I say....you were my first internet friend when the internet came to the cariboo and we were on a channel called #caught_in_net. Learning what was all out there. I will remember the jokes we played on unsuspecting visitors to our channels, you playing my internet mother when I got myself into another mess, and you hearing what all has happened in my life. I felt quite honoured to have the channel #crittercat named after both of us. And will now keep your memory alive as I still have the laptop I bought from you a couple of years ago.
Keep happy up there, and we ALL will feel you smiling on us. We will certainly miss you!

Dearest Treecat was my first ever net friend when i started chatting on the net back in 1997. Her and Critter (in #Crittercat) were both very kind to me and shown me the ropes and kept me a good boy. I can see how she has touched so many people. I'm sorry I haven't been back there in years but i could never forget the kindness of Treecat and the whole room. Thanks Tree.

Dearest tree…we go back quite away, to the days of #Canadian on Undernet to the birth of SLIRC. It will never feel the same you not being here. My heart is heavy as tree or TC as I alwasy referred to her, she was a good friend and was a friend to me for many years. lots of time we had long talks after my wife and my daughter died. She had a big heart and even bigger ear or shoulder which ever you needed at the time. We started on starlink-irc together when the net started and the net will now have a big void forever.I will miss you TC.

There are no words to express the hole left in our hearts. The nightcrawlers of SL-IRC will be so very lost without our dear treecat. How I wish she'd have bequeathed to me her computer smarts! She was so patient to teach me SO many times. I'm pretty sure that through treecat we've had a great theological question answered. There are NO snakes in heaven. She simply would NOT allow it. Her legacy will live on forever through those of us whose lives were graced with her friendship.

We always ended our late nights by me leaving earlier than she and saying, "See you tomorrow!" Tomorrow may be a bit longer this time, my friend... but I WILL see you on one of my tomorrows. Until then... Keep the pet doors in heaven shut TIGHT.

I knew Treecat for a few years as an IRC OP. Then in 2003 my beloved baby brother passed away. Treecat came to me in private to express condolences, and to tell me of how she felt when she lost her beloved son. She and I found we had alot in common, and a closer friendship bloomed.
I\'ll miss you Tree, as will so many others in IRC.
But now that you have passed over that rainbow, could you give Billy and Jman a HUG from me...and keep them both inline!
